  • Brain dead dog owners

have been taking my sons dog to the beach most mornings 18 month cross springer/cocker for a run around and train him. Basic training done in back garden and he is quite responsive. Only thing is like any adolescent the urge comes upon him at times. He plays well with the other bitches that come down to the beach regularily. But yesterday he went after one with great gusto and to put it blunt ttried to hump it. I got a hold of him and asked the dog owner if her dog was on heat, reply \"yes\" but she had to take her dog for a walk somewhere. Most do it early morning not on a packed beach. They soon left when all the other dogs showed an interest. Low and behold today, my sons dog chasing the ball and having a good swim when he was off and tried to hump another bitch. I got a hold of him and asked the pwner was his bitch coming onto heat \"yes\" was the reply. Put my sons dog on lead and they sauntered off up the beach and put their dog on the lead. Thought why should my sons dogs fun be spoilt so let him off and he was chasing the ball merrily when he musto of got a wiff and off he went straight into the middle of them sand everywher. Got him back and gave him a good ticking off, and any time he made a move for another charge he was called back. the other lot moved camp to the end of the beach where i seems a few other dogs tried having a hump as the family with their dog where soon leaving the beach. Why for the love of me do dog owners bring their dogs to crowded places when their dogs are on heat. Feel better for that. But of course you may think i am in the wrong.
