  • WARNING!

Sort of thing lots of people do every day. A few days ago I had a parcel to open. Looked for the scissors but they weren\'t where they should have been. Thought I\'ll just get a knife. Small knives not in evidence so I picked up filleting knife. Started to tackle package and slipped. Severed tendon in thumb. RVI were brilliant but was a stupid thing to do. Think before next time you use a knife to open something. I\'m out of action for weeks. Probably won\'t be able to work for 3 months. That\'s not as good as it sounds cos I\'m going to be able to do very little for the next 6 weeks while the splint is on. Might get to do some fishing in the autumn with a bit of luck.

Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.
