  • Peregrine meal

    Seen a bird with this pigeon in its grasp in mid air just above us but it got free and flew for a bit b4 hitting the deck n dieing. Didn't realy see the bird of prey as it too high but could hav only been a peregrine falcon I suppose?

    almost certainly a peregrine - many more around over the last few years!

          There you go Billy. There, is a decent meal for your tea. Last time I saw you it looked like you were clamming , All them fish ya never caught in the winter. Lol

            Near hartlepool power station sure its nesting on the big block building, down there quite a lot so taking some binoculars with me next time was an awesome sight seeing these 2 birds grappling in the air then the pigeon got loose fell towards the ground, flew for couple hundred metres then hit the deck when I went over it was like this dead

                  theyve been down hartlepool for years and years,it was on tv around 15 year ago they were nesting in the power station,we were fishing the twin steps around 4 year ago and themale peregrine was above us and started chasing pigeons it was awesome,anyone else see any near the cliffs ect or in there area??ive also saw them on a few occasions ryhope area cliffs when ive been fishing,atb pluml
