  • Still laughing now

We decided to pop over to the Toon yesterday about dinner time ,I decided in my ultimate wisdom to ignore the Redheugh bridge and go straigh to the Tyne Bridge as it would obviously be quicker as we wanted to be near Pilgrim Street ,any way as soon as we got past the Redheugh roundabout the traffic was static ( both lanes ) and 40 minutes later we could almost see the lights ,well as you can imagine I was a wee bit frustrated well maybe a bit more than a bit the car was in neutral and I had one hand on the wheel and one on the gearstick ...maybe I was hiding my anger because next thing I knew I\'D PULLED THE BLOODY GEARSTICK OFF .so I\'m sitting there thinking what the hell do I do now and Jackie\'s looking quite shocked as well ,but all was not lost as it was just the plastic gaer knob ,gator and plastic fixing that came away and obviously not the metal rod , so once it put it back we both burst out laughing , I\'ve got a canny grin now just thinking about it .

Wish somebody could have got a picture of your face when that happened.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible,
but P*****g everyone off is a piece of cake.

Driving a pick up full of gravel up the A1 to Berwick after it had just been in for a new clutch. was stuck bewteen two huge trcuks when the gear box and cluth collapsed and naturally the gear stick siezed solid. Luckily i was just passing a layby, otherwise crunch time.
