I was very tempted to watch it, but it was a choice between that, and watching my back lawn growing.

            Guess which won.

when EVERY SINGLE fan waved their scarf, You have never seen anything like it, and the commentators said they have travelled the world and never saw anything like that ever before, its was tremendous-for a tremendous man!

Newcastle United stars past and present have called for black-and-white scarf-waving to become a permanent fixture at St James\' Park, with Les Ferdinand spearheading the campaign.

The Toon Army surpassed even their own high standards in Alan Shearer\'s testimonial against Celtic and left United\'s players on the night choked.

United stars Peter Ramage, Steve Harper and Alan Shearer admitted they were physically shaken by the atmosphere generated by the Toon Army when the Geordie fans picked up their free scarves and started twirling them in the air just after the hour mark.

The backdrop at St James\' Park was an unforgettable sight and was reminiscent of some of the greatest scenes in football history.
