They say \"More money for the victims of crime and less for them that we all know done it but got off on technicalities, hooray for us\"

I say another blatant and cynical cost cutting exercise which limits the amount payed out to victims of the establishment. Gerry Conlon was on the radio raging rightly against this pathetic bit of ignorant popularism. \"Stop pension payments to criminal, bent or grossly incompetent coppers and you\'d save the fortune you need\"

The number of times I\'ve heard government parrots saying why should people with criminal records walk away with compo after not being proven guilty.

Remeber Lloyds of London and the poor rich kids getting ****ing bailed out. My pickled walnuts are steaming. wtf wtf

I can see you getting a bit steamed but lets face it the majority of these so called \"miscarriages of justice\" are technicalities. They are not innocent just legally short of being \"beyond all reasonable doubt\".

You don\'t actually see that many cleared in a civil court \"on the balance of probabilities\".

The \"miscarriages\" are usually evidence excluded out of someones mistake. Not that people are prepared to grossly exagerate. How many people make mistakes and it doesn\'t affect their lives. Referees and multi-millionaire footballers do it every week. We gripe on but carry on in the important stuff.

There is to be a cap on ALL compensation for ANY form of miscarriage of justice.
