I'm going to have my final word on this thread, you'll be relieved to know and it is a question to the people who have defended her, apart from the genuinely distasteful things that have been said about the death of an old woman.
Were any of you better off under Thatcher than before or since?
I was unemployed for quite some time during her regime, when she was ousted I was in full employment with regular pay rises. The Conservatives win another election and I find my pay rises have stopped and then made redundant, first time out of work in nearly twenty years. Funny that.
Looks like Thatcher has been done to death on here, so to speak, passions still run high when she is mentioned. She will certainly not be forgotten in a hurry whatever the reasons for remembering her.
