  • DVD/ VCR recorders

    Looking to buy a dvd recorder/vcr combination.

    Anyone got any views, advice, warnings etc ?

    Best model....worst model....features to look for ?

    We have one and the recording quality is excellent........we can even tape..dvd-vcr and vice versa.

    but the make name escapes me at the mo.

      ALDI had them on sale for about £70, dont know if they have any left.
      As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible,
      but P*****g everyone off is a piece of cake.

        i just found the play button on the video bit the other night
        it is a bush
        and it was £250
        cant fathom the dvd bit out yet

            Sless, if you need to figure out how to work these things, just do what I do and get any kid under 10 years old to show you how.
            As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible,

              Had one for about 3 years now a toshiba,video is excellent but it WILL NOT play copies,i have tried all sorts and it will only play originals,yet my cheap one from aldi £70 plays anything

                The one that we have is a Samsung and it is in the Argos sale with 100.00 off.....but we have had ours for a good while now,.....excellent though......you select which it is you want to record on by pressing one button and then you press record......that simple.

                  call me old fashioned but i prefer two seperate units that way if one goes awol the other is still there, with a combined if one goes they both go,cheap as chips these days and the cheaper ones work better than the top brands most times
