Well, I was right about the \"I\'ll probably come away with something completely different\"........hahaha.
Had a really great Saturday - like a kid in a sweetshop - well - several sweetshops....lol.
Amazing the difference in \"service\" between the big shops (eg Windows) and the smaller \"self owned\" shops. The bigger shops only seem to want a quick sale and didn\'t seem to like it when I asked to try out \"a few\". The smaller shops however - completely different attitude. Went into 3 small music shops and said \"I\'m looking for a new acoustic\". All 3 shop owners just said to take my pick and try any that I liked the look of. Infact the guy in one of them couldn\'t have been more helpful. He just said, \"right, we\'ll start at this end and work our way along\"........tried about 12 guitars in his shop.
After all the trapsing around, I finally found the one I eventually chose, in Shields.....lol.....isn\'t that always the case.....lol.
Note to self:
Must send wife & family to Manchester more often :P

looks like a nice one tc .
ive been using a tanglewood i picked up for 150 notes with a solid top and its been spot on for the cash until i knocked it over a snapped the headstock behind the nut.then got it glued back together then knocked it over again so its been leaning against the wall for about 4 months now doing nowt & its heartbreaking .
a mate of mine has an ibanez 12string acoustic i think its the aw40.
he has it strung with 6 though, and its the best sounding and playable guitar ive ever tried.
you can barre chords at the top of the neck effortlesly and it still sings.
i will be looking for an ibanez stockist as soon as ive got the funds.
i dont remember seeing any local mind .
