Chain Locker or Alm House - both sell canny beer and both on the doorstep to the Ferry ,Alm house is a bit on the wee side ,but there is plenty pubs in the market place

I knew this would be tricky to sort out as we\'ve got people from all over ,Newcastle is easy for me but not for others ,I would travel to South Shields or North Shields for that matter ..... this could end up with two separate nights ( North and South ) sounds a bit familiar.

i think the rattler is shut down at the minute
and the ferry tavern was bulldozed a few years ago

North Shields or Tynemouth or The Toon would do for me,probably somewhere where there easy access to the Metro would be handy or the Ferry at Shields like Bri says,would Easter weekend not be better as more people might be off work,just a thought
