sadly Bob White a greatly respected charter skipper, angler, and tackle shop owner of Amble lost his battle against serious health problems and passed away last night. One of the truest, honest and down to earth people i have met.

bob lost the ability to speak a while ago and had to use a message typing system to let people know what he wanted, anyway a couple of months ago while in the hospice he passed out for about 10 minutes, when he came around he picked up the message thing and began to type.

the message he typed summed bob up to a tee

\"HA HA bet you all thought i had died\"

a great man and a fighter to the end

          Sad news indeed.
Bob was one of the 1st Charter Skippers from Amble to offer the services of himself and his boat for the 1st NESA boat comp on behalf of the RNLI.
That was the only time I had any dealings with Bob, but he left the impression of a thoroughly nice bloke

Terribly sad news. Always hoped against hope he\'d recover! My thoughts are with his family.
