I recon that all the members here like \"fair play\". For the last 400 years or so Britain has allowed smoking in public places. Now it\'s the non smokers turn, lets have 400 years of no smoking, seems fair to me. By the time it\'s the smokers turn again they will have forgotten all about it.

No surprise to me is all the smokers who rant and rage about the infringement of their liberties do so with only consideration for their selfish needs and no regard for the wishes of the majority who don\'t want to drink or eats in a smoky, smelly atmosphere.

Is the planet that small we have to take turns FFS

          Go boil your head fishface

          My edit

Smokers don\'t necessarily want to sit next to fat sweaty, scallop gobbling foodies. All we want now is somewhere legal we can do our legal thing in a legal way in a legal place.

My **** boileth over, wha is the matter with you twisted zealots

And the rest of you eco warriors out there, wingeinging about taxes and transport and the price of bread whilst driving tooling about in your 4X4\'s on the way to a 24 hr supermarket.

Just pickiing up on something somebody else mentioned.......the expected drop in tax revenue due to people packinh in smoking........

The amount of tobacco tax paid annually by smokers is far greater than the annual running costs of the NHS......it\'s the smokers who keep the NHS going.......and do we complain when non-smokers are treated and use up the money we have put into the NHS?.......No.
Are smokers greeeted with any thanks for being so generous in keeping a \"free at the point of issue\" service afloat?.....No
Are smokers disciminated against at hospitals when it comes to recieving treatment ? (treatment THEY have provided the money for).......Yes.

                            Anyway.........back to the smoking ban..........
I can see both sides to the arguement...........I\'m a smoker (as if you couldn\'t tell from the above....lol), and I do like a cigarette with a pint - however, I can fully understand the non-smokers point of view about me sitting near them in a relatively confined space.
Both people have rights.........1 has a right to smoke, the other has a right to sit & enjoy thier drink in a smoke-free environment. The answer\'s simple.......segregation........NOT a whole-scale ban on one persons rights. Pubs for smokers and pubs for non-smokers - the choice is then up to the individual (both whether to a customer or an employee).

If anyone in a restaurant said my smoke was bothering them I would put me tab out. If they were on the top floor miles away and just \"Told\" me out of principle on the way to the bog I might have a different reply. most smokers accept that it\'s not reallly on these days to smoke in restaurants.

If you asked graham I\'d put me tab out because I\'d think you might bash me up.

That\'s just the way it is.

I stil say why can\'t we legally have a tab in dwellings of our own manufacture. Big tab like structures full of wrinkled sex feinds and creative geniuses coughing and gaspingmand ****

                              If you asked me

i bet a lot of people dont even pay taxes on their tabs
as they buy them from the fag barrons who go abroad and get them
there isnt a lot of people i know who nbuy tabs from the shop
