Any advice, Ive got a 128MB memory card. When the pics are dumped onto the computer and the card formatted everything seems fine. Put the card into the camera and it says card contains no images. The trouble is when you dump the new pictures it still dumps copies of an old set at the same time. Anyone know why this is? It seems that it is taking up some of the space on the card.

The \"old set\" may be stored on the cameras own internal memory, Peter and not on the card itself.
I\'ve had people come to me at work thinking they\'ve lost all the photos they\'d just taken, as they didn\'t show up on the card. When I\'ve looked, they\'ve been on the internal memory of the camera.
It could be that when you are downloading you \"new\" photos, the camera downloads the \"old\" set aswell......but because they haven\'t been deleted, they are still in the cameras memory. Cosequently, next time you download a set of \"new\" photos, you get the \"old\" set again.

Thanks for the quick reply. I don\'t know if it makes a difference but I\'m not downloading straight from the camera. Was using an external port for the old computer but got an internal card drive on the new one.
Will have a look at the camera.

Checked the camera without a card and can\'t find any memory (don\'t have instruction booklet as bought second hand). Also it only seems to happen with one card and not the others. No great deal as just don\'t store them but thought there might be something I could do. Thanks

Thanks for the conversation this afternoon Alan. Seems to have done the trick. Had to format it on the computer and again on the camera but it worked.
Tried it with new pictures which were OK.
I don\'t know if this is relevant but when the offending pictures were coming up they showed as a copy of a previous file.
