Chaps....after getting a galaxy s3 ive decided to use it as a router so I can connect my galaxy tab 2 to it when im out of a wifi range.the question is does the data come off your monthly data useage or do you have to get a seperate data usage from your provider and are my also right in thinking that yhe data usage using my tablet will be more than what I would use just using my phone??
Cheers
The only fish i want this year is a double figured cod!!!
whatever data package you are using for the tablet is what will be consumed by the phone via the hotspot that you have created
Ooh a new vid!

Your phone contract should include a data allowance per month. If you wish to Tether your tablet to your phone then as long as you do not exceed your data allowance then you should not be charged any extra. I do similar with my Iphone and tablet and incur no extra charges ( there were some contracts that did not allow tethering but I think they were mainly for people with unlimited downloads ). Just go easy for the first month maybe and check your bill. You are almost certain to use more data on the tablet as it is so much easier to use and more convenient than trying to see on a tiny phone screen . I was reassured by searching the forums on my provider.
If you're using your wifi in the house with the S3 as a bridging router to the modem/router on your phoneline it won't eat into your data allowance at all
