  • England V France

predicting a win for Engalnd with Courtney Laws, normally second row, playing at blind side flanker going to have a great day, unleashing him from the cofines of the second row will see him even more destructive in the loose, and tackling around the field will stop the French in their tracks, and we could even see him score a try now being able to use his speed to back the attack a lot more.

Not sold on Lawes at blind side myself, I'd rather we had Wood back there and a proper number 8 (just not Easter, and I appreciate that with Morgan broken we are short of options).

Massive game on Saturday, if they lose then the French go 0-3 so they will be very much up for it. And some of the potential collisons between Basteraud and Manu in midfield could well register on the richter scale

I was tempted to come out of retirement myself a few years ago (back when I was still playing league cricket in the summer). But at the end of the day the thought of those freezing winter evenings training then spending half the week feeling like a total wreck after spending Saturday afternoons at the bottom of a ruck put me off.

It's a young mans sport mate, even more so these days. And on those training nights when the seas away you know youd much rather be on the beach...

he might be raw and probs caught offside a couple of times due to inexperience but think he will give England a physical edge. Been struggling for a no8 for many seasons, watched either a saxons or un21's a while back, guy think called Foster was playing, great player physical, athletic, and linking with the backs was tremendous, thought won't be long before he is in the squad, never heard or seen him since. Going to be some mighty collisions and the French have certainly selected a big set of forwards, lets see what happens when they get rattled, which they will.

phew that was close, never thought tackling low would be a disavantage, looks as if the Frenck backs had been watching Courtney Laws play, he goes very low, all they did was skip over the tackles, looks as if he will have to aim for knees not ankles
