Yes good win, should of been all over in the first leg.
Now for the really big game, saints on Sunday....must must win against a team we never play well against. A couple of wins could get us as high as 10th and a couple of defeats could have us 2nd bottom its that tight in the league...both north east teams only a 6 points away from smiles or tears.................__................................ .............................

Yes the last 5 games we have shown a big improvement in passing out of trouble rather than kicking it long, Spur's give us a hiding at time sbut we played our way out of it and apart from the boy wonder Bale that game could of been 3 points, 1 at least.
I do fear for Sunday, have my ticket but i fear a 1-1 draw, us to go ahead then Pardew to hold what we have and us to get pinned in our own half for much of the 2nd half after that...2nd half team talks not been the best of late.
3 points could jump us about a host of teams depending on other results but tme will tell, if nothing else i am liking much of the football we are playing at the moment but still look to the heavans that we never purchased an out and out striker.................__................................ .............................

Benfica is a tough draw but could of been a lot worse, its in our favour with the away leg being first its all ways good to know what needs to be done at home in the return leg. If we can get an away goal and then have a nearly full house with every 1 getting behind them again at home i think we've got a good chance of getting to the semi but even if we dont go through theres no shame to getting knocked out by a club like benfica and the lads would of done us and the north east proud.
to be honest though i think we've just knocked a better team than benfica out..
roll on amsterdam for the final
