Not sure you want to know as I am a Southener. I dip in a couple of times a week cos I enjoy the way you guys and guyesses handle yourselfs. Often wish I was in the NE, have the portunity?, see below.

First Name Cliff, 57, printer and graphics by trade, although have been around a bit. Passionate in the 70\'s and 80\'s about music. Sadly have lost interest as modern manufactured \'sound\' does nothing for me and digital recordings dont help, although some of the more recent CD\'s are getting there. Enjoy country and western, Folk music and traditional music of the sea. Maried in 1968 to Kathy, the lovliest girl in the world, sadly she passed away in 94.

Been fishing since I was 4, but the sea did not call untill 1885, when I bought an Alaska 500. Met my now partner, Hazel, in 95, she is a Hartlypool lass, her 9 brothers and sisters stll live there.

Been writing and taken phographs for specialist magazines since 91, contributing regularly to \'Boat Fishing Monthly\', mainly covering East Anglia and Essex, logical as I live in Ipswich.

Now have an 8 meter Star Fish, pictured in this months BFM!

Thats it in a nut shell CJS (Cliff Stone)

Whoops!!!! If only!!! 1985, see, I do now where the nine is. When I next bring Hazel family visiting I\'ll let you all now. Even thought of doing it in the boat one year, but thats a big 90 mile hop as a single small boat from Gt. Yarmouth to the Humber???? I have no doubt the Starfish will do it, its if I\'v got enough underware!!

We have a small dog, Oliver, 14 months, he loves his boat and fishing, a real sea dog, full of anticipation as we get close to the Marina. Hazel does some fishing, not so keen as yours truly, but she has her moments, had her first bass the other week. She\'s a good las, comes on 80% of my trips, always got the teapot on, hot home made susage rolls and pasties, and she\'s the landing net queen of the east coast.

Like to socalise with other anglers when the weather permits. Last week we entertained Mick and Carol, local beachies. BBQ, in the afternoon, then spent the evening bass fishing on a favourit mark just up the river from the Marina, Carol was worried about sea sickness, no ptroblem.

Mick had a 3 pounder, the rest of us had fish that were just under the limit, frustrating. However, Mick and Carol inform me they have bought a boat this week, sold or what! CJS

name ken newton born and breed in seaham, joined royal navy at 16 and served 8 years. during that time i saw a few places abroad and around the u.k. it was a good life .since leaving the navy had quite a few jobs mainly short term ones. i am now unemployed looking after my kids. i have 7 kids 5 boys 2 girls ages roughly 25, 21, 20, 18, 14, 5, 4, so my hands are full .the older ones are worse than the little ones.my wife took up fishing about 1 year ago and she catches more than me on most occations, she also has more gear than me but i have to carry most of it. hobbies fishing when i have the time and money . diy when i can. member of seaham angling club for about 5 years whose comps i try to attend, like to go boat fishing as well but the cost means i cant do it as often as i would like. thats all for now before you fall a sleep , hope to see you all in future comps ... missed this years boat comp because of computer failure and found out the date of comp to late, catch you next year though. dont know about shore comp yet as a lot of things happening at the moment.

Hi all, my real name is Ian but I only use that on a sunday, born in Billingham in 1960, brought up in Hinderwell north yorkshire.
Spent every weekend and school holiday at what I now consider the best low water mark in the north east -Port mulgrave. Married to Janet (had to give her a mention otherwise I\'d get grief), moved to Whalehill 15 years ago.
                          Three daughters, 1 grandson.
First sea fish I ever caught was a 27 ling when I was 14 fishing from my uncles boat (lena 2) at Port Mulgrave, caught the bug and switched to shore fishing 2 years later.
Biggest shore caught fish was a cod of 16lb 8oz from a gulley known as sheepstone near Staithes, one day I hope to beat that(wishfull thinking I know) but thats what drives me to get out there as much as I can no matter what the weather.
I\'m rather fortunate in my occupation (Health Physics Supervisor) as the majority of contracts are in nuclear power stations throughout the british isles, always on the coast.(loads of different fishing oppertunities).
I love meeting up and having a natter with other anglers whilst out having a chuck.
Worst point - I can be an angry little get ( i used to get called jack russel). Older and wiser now and learned to calm down a bit.
Love me lager, hate all the cr*p music thats about now, more into Bowie, and Punk.
I spent a lot of my spare time on the net or watching dvd\'s if her who shall be obeyed lets me (bless her).
At the momment working in Avonmouth so get to fish a lot of marks on the Bristol Channel, not as good as around here as far as I\'m concerned, but I am bias.
Hope to bump into one or two of you guy\'s and gal\'s when you come down to fish north yorkshire and have a chinwag.
TC keep up the good work mate this has got to be the best fishing site on the net.
