  • Cable TV

At my age excitement and new experiences are not good for me. I live a simple life, I have never had a credit card, satellite or cable TV and was very proud of the fact. I was happy enough with my five channels until digital TV forced me to get freeview. Well I nearly had a stroke with the choice! Then the storms at Xmas came and my tenement's aerial has not worked properly since and I have been reduced to 7 channels, I was pleased and relieved! Most flats have satellite or cable so replacement wasn't an option. Well after almost a month, Lynn had had enough and refused to set foot in my abode again until I got "proper telly."

So today the Virgin man came and put in the cheapest TV only package I could find. OMG I now have 80 channels! Sky, Universal, CBS, Discovery. I can now watch all those US dramas I could only watch at Lynn's flat. Problem is I fear I won't be able to drag myself away from the TV. I will become a couch potato and end up overweight........................Oh wait a minute!

I feel I have given in to consumerism and I am currently feeling sorry for myself and seeking solace in cans of coke and cream eggs, while watching "Criminal Minds."

    And it's only 3pm!

you will soon whittle the lot down to half a dozen that you watch and if you can record them all the better, watch when you want to

I think you have to upgrade to the HD package to be able to record with Virgin. Another money spinner

i have tivo with virgin and you can record on any package, certain packages you may be charged £5 a month to record but if your box goes t*ts up you can have all your recordings back. virgin are the only company to offer this service in uk.

if you have the XL package or Large package you do not have to pay the the £5 a month.

virgin also comes with HD as standard at no extra cost only time you pay extra for HD is if you have sky sports or sky movies and want them in HD.
Species 2012 - Cod, Flounder, Dab, Plaice, Pollock, Eelpout, Common eel, Granny Fish, Whiting, Coalie, LSD, Rockling, Bass.

Just says Vbox hd? Guy was supposed to take me through it, but took ages to switch on and he had to go to next customer! I can change channels, look at tv guide and change volume. That's it!
