  • Jamie.

Got out of the bath tonight (timed it well to coincide with the end of Eastenders) came downstairs and the phone went. Looked at the number and saw it was work. Hi julie, no it\'s Alan, hows it going. Not bad mate what can I do for you, Nothing mate I have some bad news for you. What\'s the problem I said. It\'s Jamie he died tonight.

Jamie was six foot seven built like the proverbial and one of the best pool players I have ever seen.

He didn\'t turn up for work this morning for the first time ever. At the end of the shift lots of his work mates tried to text him with no luck.
One of his mates got in touch with his mam to see why he wasn\'t at work to which she answered He was. His mam then got in touch with his girlfriend who said she had not seen him all day. His mam then went upstairs to find him dead in his bed.

Managed to hold my tears back all night untill now.

Twenty six years old and just starting out.

    Life is **** sometimes.

Rest in peace Jamie mate you won\'t be forgotten.

    Jim.

    So sad, Jim.
Terrible shock for all who knew him........none more-so then for his mother - what an awful discovery.
Really don\'t know what else to say - I don\'t think there is anything that anyone can say to make such things \"easier\".

I feel a bit better now, not good, still teary eyed but better.

His girlfriend is the daughter of good friends of mine, she is only sixteen and her first boyfriend, they had to get a doctor out to sedate her, and her father who is not bothered by anything was also in tears.

I dread to think how this next week or so will work out for her.

The worst thing is, he is the same age as my oldest son. How does anyone begin to try to live with something like this.

        Jim.

\" How does anyone begin to try to live with something like this\"

            I honestly don\'t know, Jim.....but I guess they do.

It\'s every parents nightmare - to lose one of their kids.....no matter at what age. I can only too easily remember the torment both his, his girlfriends\' family and those who knoew him must be going through.

There is an old saying that time heals mate.

I very much doubt it for his family and close friends. Something like this can never go away.

              Jim.

I got my son Barry 20 (named after Barry Mcwiggan 4 bein a fighter) coz he was born very premature and the docs told me he had only 12 hours to live. Were so close I just couldn\'t face life without him. I cannot begin to bear the loss that the family & friends of Jamie must be bearing 2nite. Once again, my deepest and sincere feelings
                Regards, Graham

I know where you are coming from Graham.

I nearly lost my oldest and my wife through a stupid doctor almost 26 years ago. If I had lost them I would probably still be locked up now.

The said doctor retired soon after, I wonder why.

                  Jim.

Tragic news Jim.....I have 3 sons and I dread to think of anything happening to any one of them....I went thru a bad patch last year after the death of one of the lads in our club....he was only 40.... I worried constantly about me health, me kids etc...Truth is you have to live life to the full the way YOU want to, as you just never know what is round the corner.
My thoughts are with his family and girlfriend
"And I looked, and behold'a pale horse; and his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed with hi, and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword and with hunger, and with the beasts of the earth"
