A 17 year boy from the North East has been in a wheelchair since he was nine and the village he lives in ran raffles, jumble sales and silent auctions to raise money to send him to Lourdes. After 2 years of fundraising they collected enough money and off he went.
On the 3rd day at Lourdes the boy was sitting in his wheelchair when a vision of Jesus Christ appeared. The boy was stunned and Jesus turned to him and said, "How can I help you my child." The boy explained that he had been wheelchair bound for 8 years and wanted to walk again. Jesus knelt in front of the boy and massaged his legs again and again with his healing hands and finally after 30 minutes Jesus stood up and said, "I'm sorry my child, I cannot heal your legs, they are too withered."
The boy was devastated and burst into floods of tears. Jesus was so moved that he said to the boy that he could have any other miracle he chose. The boy being a lifelong Newcastle fan asked Jesus to guarantee Newcastle would remain in the Premiership in 2013.
Jesus replied, "Let's have another wee look at those legs."
