      I gather that the ‘Zippo’ was at one time standard US forces issue. I knew a lad from North Wales who would visit the sights of aircraft crashes in Snowdonia looking for suveniers. At one American military aircraft crash sight he found a brass Zippo in the mud. He took it home cleaned it up, renewed the wadding and flint and topped it up with fuel , It lit up on the first spin of the wheel. Not bad going after some 40 years in the mud!

        Sad that Tony,my brother was in the Falklands during the conflict,lost a couple of good friends,one was a school friend,they both turned up at Lympston together for there training,neither knew they were joining,funny little story when he tells it............

            Maudle away Tony. Many sad stories from those times, most untold. Being reminded of the sacrifices made can do us no harm at all.

                Post it Jim, I seem to remember rolling in Fuzzy Felt before it was taken. Jeff or John have copyright though, I thought they were fishing buddies but just another couple of paparazzi on my case.
