  • I guess we all have a need

I\'m no different to anyone else - every now and again our past grabs us by the short and curlies and pulls us back along the road we thought we had travelled. A road we thought was our route out of wherever we were at the time.
For me it was the road out of NESA - a child I helped give birth to but soon realised needed more from me that I could give.
I\'ve had this love/hate relationship with nesa for a few years - I spawned it but it bit back and spewed me out - from that day on I thought little of my prodegy - but life has that funny way of kicking you when you are on the up (as well as on the down).
Tonight I just had that uncontrollable urge to visit, post and at the very least free my mind from Nesa\'s pull.
I don\'t fish now, have little to do with fishing, wonder in my own mnd why I ever enjoyed fishing but one thing constant in my mind is my \"child\" Nesa - it\'s nice to pop along now and again just to see how she is growing up.
From what I see she is doing well.

\'bout time you looked in on your baby - I had half a mind to report you for child neglect........but then I\'ve only got half a mind anyway, so I\'m told.

For those who have only been members of NESA for the past few years, Johnbee - or JAYBEE, as he\'s better known to us, was the man who created NESA. Without him, none of us would be posting on here, as it wouldn\'t exist. We all owe John a huge thankyou for that.

Whenever a \"difficult\" issue arises on the site, I always try to imagine what Jaybee would do in the circumstances.
More often than not, I think I get it wrong......lol........and that he would\'ve handled the situation better.......I\'m still just a newbie at this lark compared to him.

Kind of you Tony but all I did 12 years ago was put the dots above the I\'s - from that moment NESA became a self motivated, self generating website with no equal. It was virtually the firsrt in the Uk and ultimately remained the best - why? because of the people who came here. Nothing to do with me - I just opened the door.
Now of course NESA is like most things - it is more than it\'s creator - it\'s a life force in it\'s own right and that is how it should be.

\"The door\" must have something pretty substatial to hold it up, though and the building of that fabric was / is down to you. In all of those 12 years, there\'s not really a great deal changed on NESA. That alone is evidence of \"if you\'re gonna do something, do it well\".......and you did.

Yes, I know it\'s the members who make the site - but without the site itself and all those years you nurtured it, neither the site, nor its\' original members would be here.

Don\'t play down your role in NESAs\' success - many of us KNOW differently.

Well for what its worth NESA still holds a very special place in my heart - maybe cos it was my first site I don\'t know. For sure very few people here will remember me but that doesnt matter.
Even though it is a number of years since I passed on the mantle of creator.owner I still feel NESA is mine. I don\'t think that thought will ever leave me.

Same sentiments from me John. Hope the photography is going well. For those who don\'t know John has been instrumental in opening different doors for the book to become a reality.
