The phrase \"martial arts\" always brings a smile to my face:-

A few years a go, I had to proof read some publicity stuff which the Council was gonna send out to the local press. It was about a the Mayor and a group of civic dignatories attending an event at one of the Boroughs\' community centres.
Good job I spotted the typing error.......maybe it wasn\'t an error at all, but put in to see if I was paying attention to my job......part of the blurb went something like.....

\"..... following which, the party will be treated to a display of marital aids........\"

Get this, my oldest lad (he\'s 8) has just taken up footie and joined the local team (in Longhoughton but they play their home games at Wooler???). Took part in his first competetive game on Saturday, got beat 8-0 and scored an own goal......and still he got man of the match. He used to do kick boxing and was really good at it but has jacked it in to spend more time with his mates...Kids eh?
