  • A few pictures from the "toon" yesterday

Anyone photographed Sir Bobby at SJP before ? The background is totally cluttered so had a bit mess with it. Here is the original and what I finally settled on. Does it work for you ?

As always could not resist taking a few bridge shots when there and because the river was so still.

Was not happy with where Sir Bobby was situated at SJP - it should be more of a shrine,he deserves better. As a consequence I moved the statue overnight to Leazes Park where I think it looks much better.

Best keep this to yoursef though as I may get into trouble over it !!!!

Nice shots John. I'll look tomorrow to see if they've moved it back or it'll be melted down leaving it out there.

It is hard to get a clear shot of it, matchdays and others it's always crowded. Think the only clear shot would be low looking up to miss the background.

Tried the bridges but I find it hard to get a good shot without background distraction or trying to get them lined up well.

The perfect spot to get the bridges lined up is about 200/300 yds downstrean from the Millenium Bridge, just where the first set of flats start on the toon side :-) Good shooting. Oh and I did look at a low angle shot for Sir Bobby but you lose too mech of the facial features.

I think he is better staying in Leazes Park ;-)
