Its been terrible here Norman. Rang up this morning and told them, told me to do the old unplug routine (which I\'d done half a dozen times). They then told me that it would cost £65 to get an engineer to check it. I told them to cancel the contract!
Got put through to another department, told them that I wanted to cancel because of it costing £65, so they\'re sending an engineer tomorrow for nothingDavy

Nice one Davy, Threatening to cancel yor subscription soon changes their minds. I hope the engineer shows up, I got a call at 8.0am last sunday from the engineer who was due to fit my sky+ saying he\'d be here about 1.0pm, he then asked what the fault was
He had me booked down as a service call so couldn\'t do the installation, to make matters worse, I had to cancel my order and reorder again so it\'s now not getiing fitted till 25th of Sept
I\'ve heard some horror stories about these sky \"engineers\" (window cleaners with screw drivers)
By the way if you really lay it on thick you can get sky+ for £49 and 3 months half price subs.
Cheers, Keith.

It seems to be a problem with the relentless drive to digital broadcasting. When it\'s working OK, the sound and picture quality is great. But when it breaks down for whatever reason it becomes unlistenable/unwatchable. However, with analogue broadcasting at least you can still watch a poor picture or listen to noisy sound broadcast.
Following this weeks announcement from the BBC/ITV who are going to enter into the digital satellite broadcasting arena on a free to view basis (but offering more channels than terrestrial Freeview) it will be interesting to see what happens to Sky subscription TV.
