Just got in from Teeside (not fishing). Had to stop off at a petrol station on A19, quick glimpse of front page one of the Hartlepool evening newspapers \"Coastguards fear SHARK attack\" (or words to that effect) was the headline..
Anyone know any more ???.
Is it going to be worth a shot for Jaws from the shore.
They closed the beaches off Hartlepool and Seaton, cos someone spotted an estimated 11ft long blue shark swimming inshore.Full story on the front page of yesterday\'s Hartlepool Mail.
Just ben talking to my mate from Hartlepool, the skippers there reckon it has just been the dolphin that has been hanghing around for weeks. Yep silly sods closed all the beaches, red flags the lot.
BriH, thats just because those in the know reckon it was a dolphin. Mind they can give you a deadly head butt. Reminds me of a story when i was working as a lifeguard on Tynemouth beach. We had an Australian lad working there, he saw some divers flippers poking out the weed and ran along the beach shouting, yes you guessed SHARK, caused quite a stir.
