Well you\'ve certainly got the hang of posting pix now, Andy
Went over to the Royal Quays thisafternoon......the shopping bit 1st......then thought we\'d take a mooch around the marina.
Didn\'t realise that it was an open day on Invincible........that coupled with the arival of most of the Tall Ships made for a rather busy day down there.........IT WAS HEAVING
Came back over to the South side and had a walk along Shields pier to see some of the ships coming in........grand sight
I will have to learn how to post pics sorry tc ive emailed some more pis to you with the ships coming through the piers. Some of the crews were singing \'rule Brittania\'and the Blaydon races as they came through and they even tried to shoot us with a canon i nearly jumped oot me skin.
When we were on Shields pier, we seen the pilot boat limping back towards the harbour, with smoke pouring out from the back of it.......one little\'n asked his mam if the \"pirates\" had shot it with their cannons.......hahahahaha
I\'d planned to get up at dawn yesterday and go photograph the morning light falling on the Dar Mlodziezy from over at Cambois, slept in though unfortunately :-(
Took these the day the first ones had arrived in Blyth and some were still sat off the Tyne...
