Another e-mail from Elton:
\"Now we need to find who the mysterious mod is!.......\"
\"........just shelled out to put NESA, AN and my other few sites on
their
*own* server, which means we won\'t be affected at busy times by
other
people\'s sites (before, the sites shared a server with
*hundreds* of
others).
This also means that I can start looking to develop them all
better soon
:-)

Elton\"
And my reply.......
\"That\'s good news, Elton.
However, I trust the 3 mods on NESA implicitly.......very rarely do any of them delete anything - and if they DO do so, they contact me telling me so and attaching the offending item.
All have said that they haven\'t deleted the most recent \"missing\" topic - and I believe them - I\'ve got NO reason not to.
The phenomenon of \"disappearing\" topics and posts isn\'t a new one on NESA - it\'s been going on for years.......long before there were ANY mods on the Board. There has been an increase in things goiing \"missing\" from the Board, though and some have linked the recent addition of the google ad banner with the increase.

OK lads.....
Elton is 100% certain that the topics going missing has nothing to do with the recent addition of the Google ad banner (intrusive as they are).
It may be that somebody has had access to either one of the moderators passwords or has had access to mine.
Can all the mods please change their passwords ASAP please. With a bit of luck, this may see the end of the dissapearing topics phenomenon.

Someone on here is a clever person me thinks.
Not only have they got into one of the moderators info they have also got into at least one of the lads info as well.
Richy posted last week that there was a post under his name that he knew nothing about, I didn\'t think anything about it.
Last week both Alan and I saw Pat Pending\'s name logged in after a long lay off and he did not respond to my post which is most unlike him.
I would advise all members to change their passwords asap to stop this person. Try to mix letters with numbers to make it harder for the d**kheads to access your account.

Cheer\'s for that Mark. Not sure if that is the case this time though mate.
One of the bigger post\'s from NESA dissapeared last week and it had been there for over a year.
Still not convinced that it is malicious in this case though. Hope I am right as we will probably find out why.

Are the topics that are going missing maybe deleated by a goverment worker? just an idea as a lad at work had his site attacked and things removed because he had news on the dealings with man u and the take over bids, got told to remove them and when he never it was removed for him..thats his story anyway.

Sorry about that, Bri......when I said \"all 3 mods\".......I was referring to those who have access to all areas.
Ofcourse there are several others (like yourself) who have control over their own area eg The Alan Charlton Pages, Andys\' \"emergency forum\" and the areas covered in the Sea State section.
Re. the \"auto log-in\" thing......I personally NEVER use that on any site......even on NESA. I always enter my own details each time I log-in. I\'ve always thought that using the auto log-in was less secure.....maybe wrong about that, but it\'s just a habbit I\'ve gotten into.
