In defense to Moocher (although the sweeping generality of the statement was perhaps misplaced) I believe he was referring to the Sunderland player who (rightly or wrongly) chose not to wear a poppy when the rest of his team were...something that, even though I wasn't going to be drawn to comment, I do not personally agree with (along with England players not singing the national anthem etc)...naivety of youth more than likely on his part

Howay man you can't quote me from another thread...different context surely

So you lot are now obsessing about what Sunderland players are wearing, I thought we were the obsessed ones.
            Cheers, Keith.

In fairness to myself I heard it vicariously through the various social networks...so no obsessive compulsions on my part

...Now, I'm off to my own Remembrance Service so I'll sign off for now...be nice kids and I believe there is another match to be discussed later on

I seen it on sky sports so its not just Geordie's talking about it from what i understand he was the only player out of the prem yesterday not to wear it.None of us no the reason for this but there will be a lot of people including sunderland fans who will disagree with his decision.
                Cheers Nicky

Has he actually gave a reason for not wearing it?

Does he have to give a reason. ???? I would like to know my self mind.

may be with him been northern Irish bloody Sunday and other things that's
happen in the past over there with the army it may be the way he has been
brought up may be his beliefs nobody knows.

don't get me wrong he should of had one on his shirt like the rest of the team remembrance day is about those who fort and died in the world wars 1&2 for this and his counrty.
