    ANGLER ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

    The Urban and Wetlands team covers Cheshire and Greater Manchester delivering a range of Natural England’s outcomes in areas including terrestrial biodiversity, sustainable development, wildlife licensing and Catchment Sensitive Farming. These work areas are integrated to deliver Natural England’s Conservation Strategy through realising our ambitions for the Meres and Mosses and Greater Manchester Wetlands.

    The role is required in order to contribute to Natural England’s outcomes for the Meres and Mosses focus area within Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire. The role is to be hosted within the Urban and Wetlands team of the Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside Area Team, but will also involve working alongside the Meres and Mosses team within the North Mercia Area Team. The purpose of the role is to engage with the angling community across the open water sites of the meres, with a view to creating shared visions for fisheries management which will contribute to healthy lake ecosystems for the benefit of people and wildlife.
