interesting fact for you. When I was in South Africa for my sons wedding earlier this year we where talking to his bride to be and her family. Because of the restrictions on the country 20 years ago they never even knew Live aid was happening.

Amazing. With our slack attitudes in this country towards the press that is hard to comprehend Alan.

When I was there , it was 4hrs of TV per night , 6pm till 10pm . The 4hrs were split in to two hrs of Africaans and two hrs of english . The highlight of one evening was \"South Pacific\" movie , and everyone rushed home to see it . Unbelieveable !

One of the biggest differences i noticed was. In Joburg airport in 2000 there where loads of armed police all had machine guns and bloody big dogs (tell you a story later) this year when we went for pauls wedding did not see a single gun. Any way getting back to the dogs, when we where collecting out luggae there was this huge policenman machine gun and huge dog, must of been a cross and he sent it on the carousel to sniff away at the cases. It then promptly squatted down and **** on the carousel. You should have sen the look on the cops face as the suitcases where coming off the unloader and just missing this great big turd. What a panic.
