  • Wisdom of a child

As Stores knows I take my grandson aged three and a half, down to the beach most mornings. Rain, hail or shine, he loves it. During these visits I try and educate him in the knowledge of the sea shore. The other day I explaining that when you get a big moon you have a big tide and when you have a little moon you have a little tide. Later that day i was taking him to nursery and asked him what happens when you have a big moon, he replied you get a big tide. What happens when you get a little moon, he replied you get a small tide. He had remembered, all went silent. After about a minute he asked Gramps (thats me) what do you get when you have a middle sized moon.

You\'re a lucky man Alan. My grandson\'s three and a half as well and I keep telling him about the fishing and showing him the photos and he keps saying \"When can Gaga, now Granda take me fishing\" but we\'re a long way away. However it was Eileen\'s birthday today so we took them all out for lunch (that seems back to front somehow) so he had his first lesson in how to use chopsticks. Glad I only had to pay for the meal and not the cleaning up bill. Precious memories

Hey TC as we\'ve now seemed to OK the Fluffchuckers forum, can\'t we have one for Soppy Grandads with potential international sea angling grandsons (or grandaughters) so we can slaver (?) over them
