  • didn't he do well

over the last few weekends i have been away the little fella has been doing well, had a few fourths, although we scored the second highest points, due to more than one dog having a point more, also a couple of seconds, culminating last weekend at the big game fair at Driffield, just beat into fourth on the first day with minutes to spare, but again had second highest score 58 out of 60, on the sceond day we came second with 59 out of 60, it certainly was the and most complicated course we have tackled to date, three sections with two parts to each section

1st section; retrieve dummy from weed bed at far side of river after descending riverbank, then retrieve blind dummy from along near river bank, again after descending river bank

2nd section: walk at heel towards river for thirty yards away, stop, adjudicator throws dummy onto weed bed in river, turn, walk away at heel to start, adjudicator throws distracter dummy across course, send dog away to retrieve dummy in river and then retrieve other dummy.

3rd section: retrieve thrown dummy at end of obstacle strewn course (approx eighty yards) then retrieve blind dummy from weed bed in river (approx eighty yards)

thought we might both be eating dog food, we came back ten minutes late, and where going out for dinner with friends.
