If your using it for salt water you need a proper salt water reel and line, using a fresh water one will kill the line and the inners are not salt water proof like the salt water fly reels...i ahve both types but too much money to lend out and none to sell.................__................................ .............................

hi mate, fly reels can be as cheap as chips new. Why? because they do f**k all, their mainly a spool for holding line which will be more costly than the reel as the lines the casting machine and the rod of course which can be very expensive.
