  • Digital camera advice.

The only camera I have ever owned was a Cannon sure shot, now broken.

Fed up with camera on phone having no zoom. Looking to buy a small digital with decent zoom. I know absolutely nothing about them. Any advice and recommendations greatly received.

what kind of price you prepared to pay kayos, buy cheap buy twice is my opinion when it comes to cameras.

Tony, I was reckoning on up to £100 at most. Being a novice on the photography front, don't want to spend loads then hardly use it.

I've stuck with Fuji digitals ever since my very first back when they were blinking expensive things even for a compact. Had two of the big bridge camera's, s7000 which was cracking and now the HS20EXR which is stupidly good. Compact Fuji's though we've had a few, kids have one each and the missus has one I bought her about 8yrs ago and is still excellent. Not up on their latest compact models but £75-£100 will get a cracking one these days.

as above - but buy once make it a good one. try the fujihs30exr on special offer circa 250 - a lot of money but probably the best value, and it will last 'forever' good luck

Thanks for that, but just looking for a compact one under £100

These are decent for the price!!

Fujifilm FinePix XP30 Digital Camera - Orange 2.7 inch: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Waterproof to five meters and shock proof so you can bash them around in your tackle box a bit! You can also get them in different colours, blue, black and green for a little bit more dosh! My dad just bought one and loves it!

good spec as long as you dont want a super zoom , nice little compact and well priced.

Have a look at the Canon ixus range.
Great cameras with plenty of features on them.
I will only be out for a couple of hours pet.
