    For those of us that no longer are, do you remember what it was like as a kid to pick up a fishing book?

    Did a tidy up of my fishing gear yesterday and found this book amongst it all...

    30 years old!

    The kit and the equipment may have moved on but the basic principles certainly haven't

    Great stuff indeed and it certainly re-invigorates me to dust the shore gear off and get back to basics

    I used to get a Mr Crabtree book every christmas.
    Wish I'd kept them !

      Hi m8 and your going back some time with that book as i can remember getting them some years ago and it brings back memories and yes the tackle has changed but the ways in fishing has/nt so good on you for bringing back long ago memories m8

        ive got every copy bar six of sea angler from 1981,sometimes disappear into the shed to do something and end up sitting for a few hours just leafing through them(ive got a fridge with newcy brown in it)great way to hide from our lass
        sometimes i sits and thinks,but thinks better whilst sitting on a rock fishing
