Anybody know anybody that collects old computers or any other ideas home to get rid of them, amiga etc. Unfortunately all the museums have got all they can handle and would rather give them to somebody rather than just dump them.

Think you might find dumping them harder than you think Al. The company we use at school (SITA) now refuse to handle them unless we pay - £17 for a full machine. Same with lots of the other stuff we throw away. Wouldn\'t mind if they reduced the rates by an equivelant amount but it seems that every year it\'s take inflation and make up a figure somewhere way above it. Can\'t even take hardcore to the tip now. -
sad really that you just can\'t give em away any more. took a car load to the tip dor the first time earlier this year. There\'s a veritable mountain of redundant IT hardware around, and rumours abound that the EU are going to impose similar restrictions on their disposal that they do with fridges and the like. Still got me own little collection of antiques from the late 70\'s early 80\'s in the loft. SOme are getting collectable. Have a look in the vintage computer section on ebay, a decent ZX81 can fetch over a hundred quid!ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ.

I f your getting rid of old computers you should do it before June 12th this year. We have just had a letter at work telling us the cost of getting rid of the stuff is going up by 30%.As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible,
but P*****g everyone off is a piece of cake.Comment
