Not many 12ft rods around these days that aren't either bass/surf rods or beginners wobbly-sticks. If you really want a good 12ft rod and don't mind spending a few quid I'd suggest speaking to Century and get them to make you a 12ft version of a tip tornado sport or a Komp SS - both of them work as good all-rounders in their standard lengths. I wouldn't recommend chopping a standard one down though as it messes with the spacing of the "gearboxes" that Century build into their rods, but speak to them and they'll make just about anything you want; if you don't like the metal bands or handgrips they'll leave them off (and it's a bit cheaper too without them!).
Shouldn't cost any more than a standard blank, all you'll have to do is get someone to build it up for you, but you'll then have a properly personalised rod that should suit you.
