As a neutral in this ridicule of toon supporters i couldnt disagree more. Even before i moved to the north east i held nufc supporters in the highest regard. Yes everyone of them is disillusioned in thinking theyre team is the best in the land. The same could be said for any true supporter of theyre club including myself. But to honest mate near every game at st james is near sold out. cant say much for the atmosphere nowadays but i remember looking forward to travelling up for a newcastle game for the passion the toon army show through thick and thin and good banter was had by all with no bother between lfc and nufc supporters. The same could be said when nufc travelled to anfield and to top it all the games were outstanding too. I dont normally take sides in these silly toon mackem arguements but your statement couldnt be more wrong and disrespectful. As far as im concerned nufc supporters are the second best in the country lfc being first obviously.

I don’t know why people bite over the Sunderland/Newcastle things, the people work and live in the same area doing the same things...in my office now i have 3 toon fans, 1 Boro and 4 Sunderland...we work and live within 12 miles of each other so picking on culture differences is pointless as apart from the odd accent difference were the same people.
As for the football teams we are both average teams hoping for at best UEFA spot or a good cup run and most years one or both of us start the season with the main goal not to be relegated....neither team has won anything for a while, neither team has played in Europe for a while but we get good support in the stands. (not Boro mind)
My prediction for Sunday,Newcastle 1 Sunderland 1 with Sunderland to score first and Newcastle to step up the game in the last 1/4 of the match when the fans step up the volume.................__................................ .............................
