Personally I'm pleased he's gone irrespective of how/why its happened.

Now its time to get an Englishman back in charge of the national team, some one who wants to win because ENGLAND is HIS country, HIS national team, not some foreigner doing it just beacuse its job.
A manager who can inject the passion and pride back into English national football, I don't believe a foreign manager can do that.

Now the FA have a problem on their hands though as who is available ??

Redknapp - I don't think Spurs will be wanting him to leave (part time or not) considering where he's got them this season.
Shearer - certainly has the pride and passion but no management experience other than the few games as temp manager at the Toon, which has to be said he didn't do very well at.
Keegan - again pride and passion but not a very good track record.
Venables - to controversial for the FA
McLaren - Hope to god his name doesn't even enter the equation.
Steve Bruce - Ha ha ha ha ha .......
Roy Hodgson - ???? doing ok at W.Brom

I suppose that's one thing good about being born before 66, at least you existed when they did the busy and very well too. For me Alan Ball was magnificent and motm. Mind. I was just in my high chair when this happened, watching vids later on gave me this opinion.
