shock leaders knots

  • shock leaders knots

    alright lads
    im having probems tying knots in my 60lb main body of the rig (shockleader). im trying to tie a lead clip to the bottom of my rig, whats the best knot to use thanks :-)

    I use a simple 6 turn half blood knot, strong as anything.

      I think i use a half blood knot
      Push line through the loop
      make 4-5 turns around the line
      Push tag end back through the 1st loop
      Moisten the knot and pull

        Thats the one that a use matey, spot on.

        Use it for both attaching clips and swivels to rigs and clips to the end of me shockleader.

          Aye, same as previous, just make sure you pull it tight slowly so all the loops are in place properly. Strong as anything I think.

            Simple enough to tie like a find the more loops you put in tho te knot ends up horrible
            Although its never let me down yet like

              i uses a overhand loop and use the loop to loop into swivel/clip...make it easy to wind into reel after end of session no damage to rings and also not let me down so far.
