I thought the camera was expensive....but the lenses are a fair chunk as well, i'll stick to the kit lens till i get used to it, then sell the boat to get some lenses......

Great pics lads and just so happens i'm looking at getting a camera off Santa ( the missus ) for xmas. I'm looking at a Canon 550d, does anyone know what these are like for a bit of a novice and also the Canon 550d comes in 3 models the 550d, 550d Kiss and 550d Rebel, can't seem to spot the difference between the 3, so any advice would be great........Chris....

Just got a 550d recently and wondered the same thing before buying - they are all the same but just named for different markets Kiss was for Japanese market and the rebel is for the American market.

Would there be any problems if you were to take a Rebel or Kiss model to say, Jessops to be repaired, i take it these are classed as imports
