just reading the thread "late transfer news..." and thought I'd show you how sport can be good.
I like my football and love watching my son train and play and now enjoy an afternoon out at the match with him or watching it on telly. He reads his Match magazine every week and gets really into it. But recently had two trips out with him to watch Rugby League, once at Headingley when we were camping and at Wembley last weekend at the Challenge Cup Final.
Final especially a really good atmosphere, family friendly, fans from all the clubs mixing together in the bars and around the ground. Dan has been made up with the accessabilty of everyone around the game. A bit more like local football but with players at the top of their game.
Dan with Ronnie the Rhino at Leeds
Met Mike 'Stevo' Stephenson the sky expert before the game whilst having a pint, nice fella
Then a few of the Wigan lads stopped for a photo outside the stadium, couldn't be better for him
Now that is sport, Wigan won with a player dislocating his shoulder first half, popped back in and out in the second half to play. Charnley broke two fingers, bone sticking out apparently, strapped up and play on. Always laugh now when I see footballers rolling around after a tap
Dan loved it as he was with the winning fans and I got stick for being a St Helens fan, all that at £4.50 a pint in Wembley
