whats your isp?? could be a dns caching issue with your isp. I get it with ntl from time to time.

I\'m working on a site, do some amends, upload the page, but when I check it in a browser I see the old one. switch to a differnt isp and its ok, go back to ntl and its the old one again, few hours later its all happy again.

try this, just to see if you can see the pic

this is a straight link to the pics, should open in a window on their own

just looking at the server now, haven\'t looked for a while, but there\'s almost a 1Gb of pics been uploaded to it in just over a year!

so maybe its time for a clear out of some of the older stuff if no-one has any objections???

one other issue it could be is that the pics folder on the server has several thousand pics in. When a http request is made for something from a folder, the proxy (isp) might not like it when it goes into a folder with hat many files, its certainly a problem with exploere if youtry to make an ftp connection to a fodler with more than 2000 files, so don\'t know if thats a problem.

here\'s an irony then, just to illustrate how flaky NTL are. I\'m currently connected with ntl and I can see them!

was working on a site recently, and everytime I tried the address of a particular page I got a 404 URL not found error. Everyone else could see it fine.

to paraphrase little britain \"NTL computer says No\"

tried everything, then tried nothing, had a cup of tea and it worked. NTL are utterly fecking shoite. They use a massive range of DNS servers and proxies, depending on where you are in the country. certain areas are notoriously bad. North East generally, but middlesbrough is particularly bad apparently

                          No objections at all, Mark.

Mebbies a reduction in the size of pix posted wpould help (?)
I ALWAYS resize my pix to 72dpi and 640 pix (longest edge) before uploading them.
Maybe dropping the dimensions to 500pix could help matters (?)

size of images doesn\'t matter too much as far as the server is concerned - its got 2 320gig drives in it, but I alays think they are better on here when not too muckle.

I\'ve wriiten something for a client recently which I\'m gonna stick on the uploader when I get time to tidy things up. basically an uploader but no matter what size they are when they get uploaded, the server resamples them in proportion to a preset size automatically, which I was gonna set at somwhere between 500 and 600 pixels horizontally
