  • Best ever gig?

What\'s your best ever gig lads?

I\'ll start the ball rolling: 1986 Bon Jovi at the City Hall (because FM were the support band)

Or is it: Tyketto at the Sheiffield Corporation (2004 reunion?)

Or: Peter Green at the (whatever the Chelsesa Cat is called now!)

Or possibly: The Monsters of Rock at the Gateshead Arena (Y&T, Gary Moore and Whitesnake?

The second time I saw Uriah Heep at the City Hall. Not what I expected at all. Totally different line up but brilliant. 1974 What a great year.

    Jim.

Hawkwind .....mid \'70s at the City Hall.....only the \"best\" because it was my 1st (Hawkwind were absolute sh*te), but the support band \"Tiger\" were brilliant

quite scary, but I was at nearly all the above (aprt from hawkwind and uriah heap although id catch heap later on)

                            tough one to call,

Pink floyd Earls court 1980 for the first Wall tour was pretty awesome, Nirvana at the riverside maybe, but I\'d probably go for \"the band of Joy\" the marquee club (the proper one on wardour street before they pulled it down) in 1986

otherwise known as Robert Plant, Jimmy page, John Paul Jones and jason bonham standing in for his dad. Got tipped off about it and managed to get in. was treated to nearly 3 hours of all the best zeppelin.

another that sticks in the mind as just being plain brilliant was Budgie (remember them) in a pub in walthamstow and The damned, in a tiny club in Retford Notts for the Smash it up tour

Hawkwind could be absolute toss or sublime, experienced both!

worst gig....Aerosmith City Hall, 1987ish, complete cack, lots of backing tapes being played and I swear to this day they were miming. Saw Kiss there a couple of years previous and thought they were pants as well

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.
