the internet is a powerful tool. use it wisely
elvis is alive and well living on mars

al Qaeda and Al Jazeera theres evidence both for and against links

you cant believe all you read on the net

any war against terrorist does not need an excuse ,in todays society we are supposed to be civilised ,100,000 dead ?? these people have a choice but they choose to support crackpot religious idiots hell bent on a holy war ,saddams gone they have an offer on the table to rebuild there country do they say yes thankyou ,,no they form splinter groups and continue to fight, killing unarmed civilians who are trying to help them,as ive stated in another thread about this country id pull our lads out and let them get on with it,you can argue all day all night and not win mark ,theres no right or wrong or middle ground ,your original post was to go look and sign the petition ,i choose not to becouse i dont think it will serve any purpose to support a load of tory mps and welshmen/women who may or may not agree with what was done..question ..if the torys had been in power what would they have done ??as i recall thatcher and reagan where bussom pals so whos to say we wouldnt have went to war anyway..its politics and im not interested in partys scoring points off each other ,just another waste of time and money.ive got better things to worry about than a bunch of nutters thousands of miles away most of whom probably deserve shooting

I always thought war was a last resort
dave he had his chance to conform after iran he .chose instead to poison his own people and bury them in mass graves or is that just another fabrication ? the mans evil and now hes going to pay, the UK and US did these people a favour and they havent the sense to see it
    cheers Bri

there\'s a bit of a contradiction in the arguement there. they are all crackpot and want to fight us or they saddam was bad for poisoning them.

it don\'t matter who would of been in power, I suspect we\'d be in a similar situation. It was actually maggie that started the ball rolling for the first gulf war. Which had a far differnt and more deserved reason for prosecuting ie the invasion of another country

don\'t believe everything you see on the net ?? you misunderstand. I don\'t mean look and learn I mean look and disseminate. The facts are not from the internet but from official CIA documents, official UK intelligence reports, the report that followed the WMD enquiry and many others. Available on the net and from HMSO. their availabilty on the net is co-incidental.

the purpose is not to support any tory MP\'s, and if you look closer there aren\'t that many involved, (there arent that many anyway!) why should the fact that some are welsh make a difference. Impeachment will never happen, but if enough people show an interetst it may cause Tone to rethink his position

The americans declaring a war on terrorists is as sickening as 9/11 itself. Ever heard of Noraid, where did the IRA get all and still get all there cash from - the americans. To this day they still hold Noraid benefits to raise funds for the cause.

The sandinistas in South america - same story give the guerillas billions of dollars and wonder why it comes back to haunt us., Al Queida, Taliban, Pol Pot, General Tito, Idi Amin all got where they were with covert funding from the americans, all facts and well documented in many sources including official US goverment publications

It may be thousands of miles away, but the UK is not as far away as the twin towers were. So after suffering years of american (and british, we get tarred with the same brush) oppresion and some nutter takes it upon himself to declare Jihad against a school (think beslan) in the north east and kill hundreds of kids, will be completely free from blame?

those who suffer are the vast majority who are just like us. normal joe\'s who just want to bring up there kids, eat and feel safe.

I\'m curious as to what favour we have done for them, replaced one tyrant with another that is much worse, some favout

pull our lads out and let them get one with it?? just so. pull them out and let them govern themselves. let them have the money for their oil. The americans did just that after they ****ed up big style in Iran, and what happened. The Iranians just got on with life, we even now consider them as more moderate in the arab world

All they are wanting is freedom. be that repression from saddam or repression from the USA.

And I can also confirm, that contrary to poplular belief that elvis is no longer living on mars, but is living above the chesterfield on Elswick road

It will never end and I agree with the war and with the actions of Bush and Blair.Fight fire with fire, right or wrong who knows but theres no reasoning with these people, they are brain washed into thinking theres life after death, think the jury still out on that one.

My brother works in Baghdad and he says it will always be chaos there,they\'ve only known one rule and thats with an Iron fist...........they estimate between 10 and 20 years for it to stabilize, thats a long time and alot of death and hardship.

Even if agree or disagree with the actions , my point is this . By attacking Iraq it has used up vital resources that should be used to bring the real culprits to justice . Remember there were no iraqis or even afghans in the attack on the towers and here we are two/three years later and Bin Laden and co: are still at large . That is a major failure in itself .

At worst , we are looking in the wrong place and it is the height of INCOMPETANCE to use up your efforts and not come up with the \"goods\" . Bush and Blair have had plenty of time to nail Al Queda and have failed to do so , how much longer do we give them ??

The biggest shame of all is we have alienated the very people who could have helped us catch the b......d and turned them against us . Well done Tony

I personally believe that because of Sept 11th the Americans stood up and took notice after letting Saddam get away with years of flouting UN rules. North Korea,Libya and Iran have aspirations of becoming nuclear powers and it was assumed rightly or wrongly that Iraq was too. Because Saddam had flouted these rules and because the US and UK are worried about a new arms race it was decided that action should be taken.

Dave I don\'t even think there was many Afgans in the Taliban get the impression most were from outside of Afganistan same as Al-queda.

Red,how many other countries flout UN rules or how many other countries does the UN turn a blind eye to.

I Know where your coming from Red and its a good point , however was it required to break off the hunt for Bin Laden at this crucial time and divert all your resources to oust him at this moment ? He could of waited till Bin Laden was caught , there was no rush . BTW , action was taken against Saddam because of WMD , this was clearly untrue and they knew it

look out for \"bowling for Columbine\" as a pre-cursor to that one. It should be made compulsory viewing in schools!

I think they already knew all thy needed to. 9/11 was such a public act it was more of a case of \"being seen to take notice\"

there has been a certain status quo for years with these countries, and as long as nothing happens to have a major public impact, the americans have been happy to let it ride.

UN rules are pretty worthless unless there is a global agreement to enforce all UN rules. There isn\'t, so the UN are pretty toothless. The US continuously broke many UN regulations prior to the war in Iraq over the so called \"oil for food\" programme. They got exclusivity over Iraqi oil, but instead of seeing the programme out and sending aid in return, they gave Saddam the money instead but with the caveat \"its to buy food with\" yeah right, he bought food, for himself, an kept the change. The UN and member states did nothing about that for 10 years. Yet as an individual if you decided to send a parcel of toys to an Iraqi hospital, you would be prosecuted by Tony - many people have been!

these countries may have broken many UN rules. But by invading Iraq, so have we.

We should be worried about a new arms race, but not necessarily from countries that the George and Tony have a bee in their bonnet about. What about Israel, in many ways they are as bonkers as the rest of the Arab world but have more than 100 nuclear warheads, they illegally occupy another country\'s territory, have slaughtered thousands of innocents and yet all this has been with american backing, and nobody has stood up and said hang on a minute this looks a bit dodgy.

just one last word , when the Russians seen the rise of radicals and invaded Afganistan in 1980 to quell them who came in to help the fundamentelists ?? The CIA moved in to arm and train Bin Laden himself to skin russian soldiers alive and chop their doodas off , the seeds of 9/11 were sown many years ago when the yanks created their very own nemesis . No wonder he\'s so bloody hard to catch , they trained him themselves . Funny how things have habit of biting you back , aint it .
