Laptop repairs.

Anyone recommend a decent place to get my sons Compaq laptop repaired ,well I should say my laptop as I've just had it handed down or is that up ,to me .

A few problems with it ,one missing key ,the screen is temperamental when you open it up ,loose connection I reckon oh and it needs a new battery .

hit it with a hammer a few times, then take it to PC world, and ask them to swap it for a macbook!

depending on spec, might not be worth repairing.

iffy screen might be the ribbon cable, but could also be the inverter for the backlight....

I'd love a Macbook Mark but got too many other irons in the fire to pull out that ammount at the moment and cheers codonly .

To be honest I'd have a look at it myself if I had the time and inclination ...of which I have neither.
