Got the #53 Arriva bus from Newsham to Cobalt this morning, turned up late after most of the buses were having a job starting, got to cobalt 2 3/4hrs after I left the house, almost 2hrs late into work. Saw ploughs and gritters around the Great Lime Road area but nowhere else.

well i never even tried to get my van or kates van out of the street this morning , would never get them up the little incline......only 2 cars made it out first thing ( both range rovers ), just as well one of the range rovers was ours or kate would never have got to work.
So spending the day in my warm garage putting a 4.4 v8 engine back together listerning to the radio.

From our house in Whitley Bay we can look down Grafton Road to the sea. Noticed a very eerie/large looking snowstorm approaching a short while ago. Raced upstairs and took this from our bedroom window.
At least the lollypop lady adds a splash of colour to the scene !!!!! As I type its contents are being dumped on us. Roll on the summer.

home early
the roads on our trading estate in Burradon are a complete mare...so with dark clouds overhead and the fact that at least half a dozen cars/vans and lorries have all been stuck at various points throughout the day we could all leave at 1530 to beat the rush home
...better do last nights washing up then and have a cuppa ready for her coming inOoh a new vid!

hateful, vile despicable stuff
where its lying flat we've now about 3 foot of the stuff. this time tomorrow, the way its belting down at present that will be 4
the winds getting up, so on past performance, the regular spots for drifts will be 12 to 15 feet by tomorrow night. Which means by brekkie time, it'll also be half way up the downstairs windows, which means the door has to be opened very slowly to reveal the white wall that has to be removed before you can even get out of the house. Last winter at one point I climbed out of the bedroom window onto a snow drift to start the excavation procedures
Land rover with all the off road toys and new all terrrain tyres - managed to move it 400 yards today. 200 of them I was a passenger as it turned into a 2.5 ton sledge going down the track
the first 200 yards took 4 hours
Anyone wants to have a real snow experience, drive to rookhope, and come on the blanchland to rookhope road...
we'll see you in april!ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ.
Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs
Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.
