look through the small end lol
no really i had one a while ago sless ,it depends on the type youve got straight through lenses or reflecter type the 2nd of the 2 is a bit of a **** as the image is arse way up until its bounced off all the mirrors, best way to get a decent view is to get away from the city lights,if its got a finder scope use that to line up the image then ajust the main lens to focus all good fun and orion etc are great to view this time of year

Get Googling Sless, I\'m sure you\'ll find a load of stuff there.

Sounds great though, I bet it\'s amazing, never looked through one meself. I find it easier just to visit them personally though.

                depends what scope you got.

doies it have a small finder scope attached??

need to set up indaylight really. the finder scope gives a slightly maginifeid version of the sky (5x ish) the idea being that once set up, the cross hairs in the finder scope should point at exactly the same as the big bit. To set it up. point the big bit at something and focus it (18 year strumpets neighbours bedroom windows are useful for this) when you get that bit focused, fiddle with the knob (the telescopes.....) things to adjust the small finder scop so that the cross hairs are looking at the same bit as the big un then lock them down tight. Will make it lots easier when in th edark to find stuff in the sky

depending on how expensive it was you might just as well throw away all the barlow lenses and the stupid multiplying maginfication tuby things as high mag\'s are crap with cheap optics.

75x will show you the rings around saturn dead easy and the stripes on jupiter and all its moons, Andromeda (galaxy M31) is pretty good and if you know how to find orion (sort of a big H in the sky) theres a vertical row of stars in the middle (the sword) some cracking nebula there

christ I sound like a nerd

what sort of mount does it have for tracking??

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.
