what do you think of the goverments spending review and the cuts planned for all, i personally think there doing it to fast, and as for david cameron saying

    It is typical Tory tactics.
Ignore the massive amount of tax dodged or not collected which is around 10 times more then any benefit fraud.
Plus the so called fraud is often down to official errors,or cock ups by DWP staff.
The rest the bank tariff is a joke, social housing is under attack,as is housing benefit. Much of that down to the right to buy that Thatcher introduced but did not give the cash back to local auth to build more homes. The sick and disabaled attacked under "help to work',Bollocks.
As to taxs on the rich, again bollocks.
You earn 1000 quid a week and lose an extra 10% you still got 900, you earn 200 quid and lose 20 quid from benefits such as housing tax credits or whatever. Which is going to suffer the most and which would you rather be.?I could go on and on but it will be waste of time. I expected all this its Tories policy

If I had any hair I'd pull it out. What a set of thieving lying b@sturds these leeches ruling this country are. It's only 18 months ago they were all in the naughty corner for stealing via expenses claims, not a mention of it now.
A cabinet full of multi millionaires laying down rules for pensioners and disabled alike who can just about keep warm and feed themselves, yeah that sounds really fair to me. We're all in it together what a laugh. Propaganda Propaganda Propaganda keep saying things and eventually a lie becomes a truth as long as people accept it to be.
This huge debt they keep rambling on about, what debt? Is this the same money that was used to keep the thieving Banks from going under, that they have yet to repay.
I'm not a big fan of the French, never have been but at least they're trying to do something about some of their proposed cuts. Apparantly being threatened with jail if they don't go back to work, don't ya just love Democracy.

              Debt?

In order to raise money to spend and waste, the previous government printed Gilts

Gilts are effectively a big fat guaranteed IOU

these gilts then get sold on the securities markets

here's the scary bit. In total, the labour party printed over £1 trillion pounds worth of them

the majority were bought by foreign countries, china being among the biggest.

if you own a gilt you are entitled to demand its full value be repaid at any time you like

what ****es me off more than anything is that a huge amount of the money generated by the sale of gilts has gone to prop up public sector pension schemes.

why should I in the private sector pay for the personal pension of some over paid civil servant or council employee?

but that still wasn't enough to stabilise the pension funds, so local councils have been taking upto 30% of council tax revenue to put into their pension schemes as well.

so every man jack of us that pays tax or pays council tax is actually putting money aside for someone elses personal pension

nee bugger is putting anything aside for us. the private sector has been paying for the public sector indulgences for far too long. about time the role got reversed a bit.

Guy fawkes was the last man to enter the houses of parliament with honest intentions!

This is a quote I found on another forum (not fishing) debating the spending review

"We'll just plod on and continue to be canny"

This kind of attitude is responsible for what is happening in the UK imo.
                Regards, Graham

It about sums up the british attitude overall. Folks grumble, folks complain, tories fault, labours fault, thatchers fault blah blah blah, anybody's fault but our own. then sit back and get shafted

What we need is to be a bit more like the French. If the government tries to do something you don't like, take to the streets, set fire to stuff and generally bring the country to a standstill... and get what you want at the end

A mate of mine used the following as an introduction to his last book which sums us up perfectly

"If you take a frog and drop it in a pan of boiling water, it will immediately jump out. Put the same frog in a pan of cold water, and then gently start to warm it up it will sit there happily, initially enjoying the feeling of warmth, it will then continue to sit there until the water hits boiling point and it is boiled to death"

little by little we are being boiled to death as we can't be arsed jumping out of the pan

don't remember labour doing much fighting for the working fireman, or ambulance driver.. or nurse... who when they threatened to strike for better pay conditions labour changed the rules to make it illegal for them to do

and it wasn't the banks, or tories, or libdems or anyone else that blew 3 billion on the millenium dome, several billion on new offices for themselves, countless billions in Iraq/afghanistan, 14 billion on increasing whitehall pensions, 12 billion paying management consultants to tell them how they can make savings in the NHS - by not paying for fecking consultants would be a start, 12 billion on the 'NHS Spine' computer system, which after 4 years development they decided wouldn't work anyway so cancelled and on and on and on

bottom line is we are screwed, we've got no money left, and we can't borrow anymore. The population of the UK is fundamentally lazy & doesn't like to make a fuss, so will just sit back and watch it all happen.

labour/tories/lib-dems - they are all liars and thieves
